Day 10 Travel Mercies

Dear Father Almighty, who gives us opportunities to visit friends and family and to see other places, watch over us now, we pray. Keep us safe and protect us from harm and injury. Help us to be considerate of those around us , who may not be sharing our joy and excitement. Help us to be mindful of your presence wherever we are and bring us safely to the end of our journey. In Christ’s name, Amen

Day 9 Words of Comfort

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for your word and the comfort that it gives me. Amen

Day 8 Alone with God

Dear God, who listens to all our wants and needs, please teach me to stop and find time to be still and listen to you. Help me to find time in each day to spend with you and your word. Fill me with the desire to learn more of you. Help me to be smarter, in order to understand better that which you teach me. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. James 4:8 Thank you for time with you. Amen

Day 7 Prayer for Pets/Animals

Dear LORD, who created all things, have mercy on the animals, especially our pets, which you have given to us as companions and friends. Watch over them and give to those who care for them, gentle hands and hushed words. Help us to likewise be their comfort , support and loving protectors. Thank you for their beauty and various personalities and for the joy that they give to us. Amen

Day 6 Healing

Heavenly Father, giver of life and health: Comfort and relieve your sick servants, and give your power of healing to those who minister to their needs, that those for whom our prayers are offered may be strengthened in their weakness and have confidence in your loving care; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Day 5 Relief

Dear Father, Hallowed be thy name. Relief is just one of my earthly rewards when I give myself to you. Thank you for the story of Simon when he answered, “Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.” (Luke 5:5) Help me remember that no matter how hard I work…it is You and only You who can fill our nets so full that they break. There is nothing to fear with You as our Navigator, Father and Friend. Help me to take a deep breath, let it all out, and relax in Your Truth, in Jesus’ name. Amen

Day 4 Too busy!

Dear God, Wonderful is your Word. Help us to take the time needed to put you first, to consider what you want us to do and experience in each day that you have given us. May we hear Joshua as he says,”Come here and listen to the words of the LORD your God.” (Joshua 3:9). Teach us not to be so distracted as to miss the only thing that is needed. Thank you for not forgetting about me. Amen

Day 3 Loss

Day 3 Prayer for the loss of a loved one
Oh Heavenly Father, who holds us all in the palm of your hand, keep us forever mindful of your love towards us. We know you do not want us to grieve and are ever watchful of our needs and sorrows. Think of us with your sweet mercy, comfort us, and give us peace, knowing that our departed loved one is in fellowship with thy saints, through Christ Our Lord. Amen

Day 2 This Beautiful World

Day 2 Prayer for the World
Oh Lord God, who created this amazing world for us to live in and enjoy. Help us to look at your beautiful sky, mountains, lakes, trees, and wildlife with new wonderment every minute of every day. May we see your all encompassing hand in all the earth. What a masterpiece you have created just for us! Thank you so much and help us to joyfully care for this land and be proper stewards of it. Amen

Day 1 Prayer Journal---Friends and Friendship

Dear Lord, You who gave us a life full of wonderful friends and warm friendships, please continue to lighten our days with the laughter, hugs, and tears of these relationships. Help us to "Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests if others." (Philippians 2:4) We thank you for your kind attention to our every day needs and the ability to share those needs with others. We know that you are doing more for our beloved comprades than we can ever hope for and we thank you for this. Amen

Love is in the Air

Love is in the Air is this weekend! So many fun activities planned! It is the annual APWC fundraiser and benefits the Downtown Soup Kitchen.

Finally have my tickets figured out...I will be traveling from AK to AZ, TX, and CA, and then back to AK. I get to see Kelli Sue, Ryan, Mom and Dad. And then Aunt Carole, Chelsi, and Kyle in northern CA to check out a possible wedding venue! All in a period of 2 weeks...good thing I love to fly!
