I Love to READ!

Here is a list of my most recent reading material:
The Witch of Portobello ~interesting and not what I expected
If I Should Never Wake ~ Wonderful, I had such a connection!
Confessions of a Shopoholic ~ clever and fun
Molaka’i ~ a lot of emotions in this one and fascinating history, plus read it while in Hawai'i
The red leather diary~~~ (about 1/2 way through it)
The vanishing act of Esme Lennox ~ loved it! couldn't put it down!

The preceeding 6 have been for a book club. Have I mentioned that IISNW is written by my sister-in-law and is beautifully written about northern Michigan?

Look me in the eye: My life with asperger’s ~ very insightful and I share the author's age

Frill Kill ~ fun mystery in New Orleans solved by a scrapper!

and last summer/fall I read the 4 books in the Twilight series...just so I would know what Kelli was talking (drooling) about!

Look What I Won!

Hey There!

Do you listen to ? If you listened to Danielle and Rayme on the 3/18/09 radio show, you would have heard my name as the winner of "The Paper Element" sponsor giveaway! You would have also heard that I live in Anchorage, Arkansas! Rayme corrected himself a second later, but it was still pretty funny! So, today I received a beautiful paper pack! It is so fun! I will post what I do with it later! I am thinking the recent Hawai'i pictures! I love the flip flops! And the pineapples, and the palm trees, and the 4 pieces of core color "coredinations" that they included matches the patterns perfectly! It really is a beautiful set! Thank you Danielle, Rayme, The Paper Element, and Coredinations!

Here too are pressies for Sherrie...a friend mini album and then a joy journal for her to write in!
She is my buddy, my pal, my very good friend! They are finally in the post!
And look...the girls missed Mike! They sure have turned into lap kitties!

9:45 PM

Here is Mt. Redoubt today...clear as a bell. She is about 100 miles away from my porch, where I took these pictures thoughout the day.

sugar eggs & new stuff

Played mahjong for the first time in a long time! Yay! Had so much fun and thanks to my pals for being hand models! Ha! Never played with "cards" before, it took me a while to realize there was no wiggly snake or moon in the bottomof the well!

Moose Sign!

Kelli workin' her fondant!

Kelli's sugar egg that has been around for at least 15 years!. When I bought them in Louisiana for about 1 dollar a piece, I was told that they usually last about a year or so...well 15 Easters later, 4 moves, and 5 cats...!

Ryan's cute cute cute TMNT sugar egg!

and here we have Chelsi's Ariel egg and look Arran likes it too!
I hope everyone had a joyous Easter.

Iron Chef America

So the name of the show mentioned in previous post is ICA.

Happy Happy Birthday to Kim and Sherrie!

View from our porch 2 days back.
Watching MSU play today! Yay!

Redoubt just keeps blowing her top, I think this makes 20 eruptions! We have only gotten ash fall the one time though. Beautiful sunny day with a wee bit of snow yesterday.
Kelli and I are starting a 4 week Fondant class this Wednesday night, sounds like a photo op in the making! Currently, our fav show is Ace of Cakes! ( and Chopped and that one in the stadium with the secret ingredient)! Fun times!
