Happy Birthday Kelli Sue!

No more teenagers in my house!  Happy happy day to my youngest!  You are such a great daughter, fun friend, and sweet person!  Love you tons!

Dieting

Ate way too much over the last two weeks and didn't excercise a bit...so I found this site...  myfitnesspal.com .  I was looking for a calorie counter on line and came across this great site.  I now have a food diary, excercise diary, and it allowed me to add my own recipes and then sorts out the calories per serving.  Love it!  Heading for skinny M of the B in a month!

Best Bird Bath in Town!

Looking left again the day after the rain and rainbow.  The ocotillo is leafing out, the marigold is beautiful along with the firestick and white flowered covered bush.  I lost 2 big bushes and 1 marigold with the freeze.  Now I just need something pretty in those 2 pots!
Can hear the thunder in the distance...maybe more rain today!

Monsoon Season

Arrived in Tucson last night at about 9 pm.  Anne was waiting for me and whipped her cute little red bug around to pick me up...glad we managed to get the faithful lilac suitcase into her trunk.  Amber and Arran were waiting at the door and seemed very happy to see us.  All the "cherry" items made it, as well as a jar of Saunder's Hot Fudge and my 4 Cheboygan brewery glasses!  Yay!

Now sitting in my room listening to the wind, thunder, and rain!  The sky went from bright sunny to a bit of a haze to a impenetrable curtain of rain. Very interesting.  I think I got a rainbow picture before the rain really started to pelt down.

Had a great time in both California and Michigan! 

Happy Birthday Beautiful America!

Swam in Mullett Lake today with my mom, brother, oldest daughter, and nephew.  Made a rhubarb cup o cobbler and went down the river to have ribs at my brother's house.  Then we all piled into the boat and headed out to watch fireworks off of a barge.  After being attacked by teeny tiny fishflies, we watched a spectacular display.  The 4th in Michigan...heaven!

Ahhhh...Beautiful Michigan!

Chelsi and I arrived yesterday!  We flew into Traverse City and were picked up by Aunt Nini and Nana.  Beautiful drive home to Mullett Lake and then a boat ride down the Cheboygan River.   Ahhhhhh!  Love it!

Calistoga, CA

Met Chelsi at LAX, flew to SFO, and then drove to lovely Calistoga.  What a beautiful country we live in!!!  Staying with my Aunt Carole, my dad's twin sister for our time here.  Have visited with Karen and Lyall and Kelli Sue, who is currently interning with them at Hans Fahden Vineyards.  Chelsi in her usual efficiency has lined up meetings with Tamara, the hair person, Carter, the photographer, Christian, the baker, Constance, the florist, the innkeepers...we have driven to San Rafael, Martinez, Santa Rosa, and through St. Helena about 5 times.    
What a great place and what a great time we all will have at the wedding of Kyle and Chelsi!
